ALAN WHITMORE-PASCAL is a "26-year-old man" who lived a pretty normal life... up until he hit his head in the woods and went unconscious. Now, he can't quite remember who or what he did to get there in the first place at all. Now, he's trying to remember who he is and get back on his feet.
Alan is 5'9 and 160 pounds even. According to his medical records, every year, he's hit the average mark for everything. He got average grades in school, graduating smack in the middle of his high school graduating class with no notable accolades or involvement (besides playing a sport, of course, as every normal kid does.) He graduated college with a 3.0 even and got his bachelor's degree in Computer Science before going onto grad school.
But the person on paper doesn't seem like him, no matter how much he wants it to.
Well, to him, there's no sense in worrying about all of that stuff, anyway. He's got chores to do to earn his keep at Nash's place. It was nice of him to help him after the injury, wasn't it?
Alan woke in Nash's home in the woods, having completely forgotten his past under the guise of a head injury. He wholly believes he's a human man who might've been on a hike in the woods and Nash found him while hunting... though, he's starting to grow suspicious of Nash's habits and research. Over the course of a year, he befriended Nash and got back on his feet, both literally and metaphorically. Though a figure named 'Magdalene' has been trying to call him, he doesn't pay this any mind; it really can't be that important, or else they'd come find him.
In every sense of the word, Alan is a 'normal' person; he has standard hobbies, enjoys the same things everyone else likes, and is mostly trusting and good-natured. He firmly believes in the goodwill of people. Despite his well wishes, Alan is quite boring. There is nothing quite interesting about him, and he doesn't have much of a past to elaborate on to anyone anyway.
He's highly hands-off and disengaged, preferring to watch things happening rather than participate in them. He has a tendency to spend long hours staring off into space, occupied with his own thoughts and idyllic daydreams. When asked about what they are, he's quite cagey about them; he's quite ashamed of the fact that he's really thinking about nothing substantial or applicable to reality at all. He's not sure what the real source of his anxieties are, which causes him much distress during his thought sessions. Despite wanting to grow closer with and know more about Nash, he resigns himself constantly to shallow, surface-level talk, making him appear more bland than he actually is. He has a negative outlook on his ability to deeply connect with people, believing that no matter how hard he tries, he'll always end up at the same place. Though, he gets some hope when Nash reciprocates his interest, and they enjoy spending long hours doing different activities in the same room.
Alan enjoys computer programming, reading about computer history, and going foraging in the woods near Nash's house. Alan loathes forced or 'corporate' conversation and prefers to sit in silence.
At his best, Alan is thoughtful and sentimental; he is lively and serene, able to bring people together to achieve a greater purpose. At his worst, Alan is closed-off and catatonic; he is obstinate and fearful, choosing to shut everyone away and spending days staring off into space.
